    Please take the time to look over our Frequently Asked Questions area. We are adding and updating it on a regular basis. The questions and answers are here to help assist you in the rental process and during your trip.

    Do you allow pets in your Rental RVs?

    R. Yes,at Camper Clinic we know that your pets can be an important part of your family. Pets are welcomed as long as they are preapproved and the conditions in our Pet Addendum are followed (see Pet Addendum). An additional deposit is required.

    What is a Brake Control?

    R. A brake control is an electric brake system that is installed in the towing vehicle to connect to the trailer and assist in braking during travel. It is a small, black box with a sensitivity dial, usually located around the drivers side. It is not typically included with a tow package and is usually an aftermarket item. As per Texas Law, it is mandetory to have a brake control installed in your vehicle if towing a travel trailer. If you do not have one and desire to purchase one, the part can be purchased and installed in our award winning service department. If this is not an option for you, ask about delivery!

    Can my SUV tow a travel trailer?

    R. Most full size SUV's have adequate towing capability for most of our rental trailers. The lightest weighs in at 4,700 lbs!. We have a Towing Guide onsite, so if you are unsure, ask your Rental Agent to check it for you.

    Are the propane tanks full when I pick up my RV?

    R. Yes, the propane tanks are full, as well as the fresh water tank and battery. You do not need to bring the fresh water back full, however it is the customers responsibility to refill the propane tanks after use. If the customers fails to maintain responsibility, the amount will be deducted from the security deposit.

    Do you offer delivery if I don't have any way to tow the trailer?

    R. Yes, we offer delivery and pick up for pricing on location please contact rental agent.

    Where we are going, there are no RV hook ups. What can I do?

    R. Travel Trailers can run off a full battery, but not for an extended amount of time. Also, if you would like to make use of the AC unit and microwave, you must be plugged into an electrical source. If you are going to be camping somewhere for a few days or longer, and there are no electrical hookups, you need to have a generator. The generator must be 4,000 watts or better with a 30 amp service. If you do not have a generator, they are available for purchase in our Parts Department.

    If I am plugging into a generator, what size generator do I need?

    R. 4,000 watt or better with a 30 Amp Service.

    When can I expect my deposit back?

    R. You can expect your deposit back within 14 days upon return of the RV.

    I've never stepped foot in an RV before! How will I know how to operate the RV?

    R. If you feel panicked, don't... our qualified staff will give you a thorough walk through of the RV prior to departure. Also, located in the camper are operational manuals, so if you forget something from your walk through, the answer is at your finger tips. At Camper Clinic, our goal is to make sure you have the best time with your RV as possible. Feel free to ask as many questions as you can think of, that is what we are here for! For added peace of mind we offer Coach-Net roadside assistance which includes tire change, lockout, trailer towing, and a 24/7 service assistance hotline.

    Can members of our party ride in the RV while traveling?

    R. In motorhomes, yes, as long as there are enough seat belts available. However, if you are renting a travel trailer, it is illegal for anyone to ride in the trailer while traveling due to safety issues.
